Nuvoton has developed a reference design aimed at simplifying the process of securing IoT enabled embedded machines. The aim of this design is to establish Device LifeCycle Management techniques, such as securely on-boarding to the cloud. This reference design provides the required components to build your Proof of Concept with production ready firmware that takes advantage of ARM®’s Cortex®-M23 TrustZone® technology, the KeyStore peripheral and cryptographic hardware accelerators to encrypt the embedded machine’s gathered sensor data before transferring the data to the cloud to be decrypted and used in an application.

The objective of this reference design it to provide an efficient Out-of-Box experience to simplify secure provisioning so that you can focus on developing your secure IoT machine-to-cloud proof of concept. In addition to securing the machine, the journey ensures authorized users (or installers) can interact with the machine, hence protecting those in your value chain. The supplied firmware and mobile apps that enable this journey are developed with high software quality standards so that you can use them as a starting point in your actual design.
